XYIENCE Power to Win Athlete: Motocross
For Taylor Saul, racing is her life. She has been on two wheels for nearly as long as she’s been walking. She started racing BMX bikes and mountain bikes at a very young age and quickly progressed from pedal to motorized sports. “When I was 8 years old, my dad bought me my first dirt bike, and I've been hooked ever since!” says the now 22-year-old Saul whose ultimate goal is to turn pro. She rides three to four times per week to get ready for events like the Mammoth Mountain National and Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National. She recently took first place in the Women’s Novice division of the 2014 Muscle Milk TWMX Winter Cup Series RD 5 at Cahuilla Creek MX Park.
When she’s not riding, you can find her training hard at the gym. Outside competition, Saul has a very easygoing nature. She also loves going to the river with her family and dancing. (Disclaimer: she doesn’t dance while riding!) She prides herself on always having a smile on her face and trying to make everyone around her laugh, especially when a fellow competitor needs a pick-me-up from a tough race or Did Not Finish result. Taylor also supports The Kurt Caselli Foundation whose mission is Protecting and Supporting the Lives of Off-Road Riders.
