The Train-2-Care Summer H20 Drive hosted by Team Xyience member Jonathan Santa Maria was such a huge success! Here is what he has to say about it:
“We raised over 5,000 bottles of clean drinking water for the homeless of Downtown Los Angeles. I still cannot believe it! It was amazing to see MMA students and enthusiasts come together for such a great cause.
We had nearly 100 people in attendance, not including the many UFC gym members and staff who jumped right on in with their donations when they saw us set up. The MMA clinic in the octagon was flawless. It was so great, that the UFC gym general manager, Henry, made it a point to tell me how incredibly impressed he was. He just cannot believe how so many athletes and fans came together in order to help others and asked for nothing but water in return. He has been spreading the word on the event's great success all over his own social media pages as well as UFG Gym pages and on-line networks.
The XYIENCE booth was incredibly popular. Everyone enjoyed the drinks and swag and it was great seeing everyone stand around tasting the different flavors and telling the Tsunami Girls which of the flavors they liked best. I thought this would be a great opportunity to conduct a survey to find which flavor is a favorite and the results are in! The favorite flavor of the day was Mango Guava!
XYIENCE swag was seen all over they gym Saturday and pictures of these goodies were being posted all over Facebook, Instagram and Twitter well into Monday morning. I wish you could have seen how great the gym looked with so many XYIENCE towels being used at the gym that day.
One other XYIENCE piece that was great was the custom cooler we used in order to keep all of the drinks nice and cold. A good friend of mine made it and it became one of the event's coolest props! Attendees were taking pictures with the Tsunami girls right next to the XYIENCE cooler througout the entire event. It was awesome! BIG thanks to my friend James who spent hours working on the cooler for me.
This was an absolutely amazing experience and I really hope we can host many more events like this one."
A huge thanks to everyone who stopped by and donated! Your donations are much appreciated!
